2008-11-15 >> Update: 1st round State Playoff game moved to Sat.
Update on game reschedule dates: Come support your Vikings as they travel to Richmond Senior HS to play in the 1st round of the State Playoffs Saturday at 7:30pm. Our Vikings are an 11 seed, while Richmond is a 6 seed. Richmond Senior is in Rockingham, NC about 1 hour and 45 minutes on 220 South. The team buses will leave school at 3pm, if you want to follow them show up then. See links page for directions.

Our cheerleaders will not be making the trip due to other weekend obligations. That means we need to make more noise, let's get creative.
2008-11-07 >> Your Vikings host Page this Friday at home
Your Vikings battled Page for 2nd place in conference. This was our last regular season home game. Both teams have made the playoffs. Page won in a close one: 20-13
2008-10-30 >> Your Vikings travel to Smith this Thursday 7pm
Update: Your Varsity Vikings traveled this past THURSDAY to Smith HS and clinched a playoff spot with a 35-6 victory.
2008-10-24 >> Vikings play at home vs Grimsley this Friday
Update: Your Vikings beat Grimsley last Friday at home 14-6. We move to 2-1 in conference, 5-4 overall and one step closer to a winning season. The team is improving every week.
2008-10-17 >> Vikings travel to play High Point Central - 7:30
Update: Thanks to those that braved the weather to watch your Vikings travel to Simeon Stadium to play conference foe High Point Central. Our kids played a solid game and came away with a win - 18-3. Good job fellas!
2008-10-10 >> NW hosts East Forsyth for Homecoming this week
Update: Your Vikings battled hard but came up short 18-16 at the Homecoming game vs East Forsyth.
2008-09-29 >> Update: NW hosts Mt. Tabor at home Monday 7pm
Mt. Tabor came to NW sporting a #2 ranking in the state and looking for redemption from last year when NW beat them on their turf. This was a perfect chance for us to make a name for ourselves, but we needed to play hard all 4 quarters. Mt Tabor won a close one: 29-22
2008-09-19 >> NW traveled to SE and came up short
We lost 10-8. Mistakes sealed our fate. The intensity was missing. Will we learn a lesson and turn it up a notch next week? Stay tuned...
2008-09-12 >> Varsity plays NE at home this Friday
Update: Your Vikings successfully defended our home turf Friday. After going up 22-0 at half, we let NE back in the game in the 4th quarter to a score of 22-14. We had to hold off a late rally to come away with the win. Once we put together 4 quarters like the first 2, we will see how good we can be.
